Your equipment requirement guide:

1. Good DLSR body

In ranking order Nikon has the following entry level to prosumer DSLRs:

For accessories you will require:
2. Good Wide angle lens (anything from 10mm – appr 55 / 70mm)
3. Good telephoto (70mm – 200mm/300mm)
4. Adaptable and rotatable flash – on camera flash is not sufficient.

If possible also:
5. Reflector
6. Radio trigger system for flash
7. Tripod

Students should keep in mind that ISO performance is very important, especially to avoid grain in night time photos. Therefore, choose the camera with best ISO performance. Read the articles, reviews and SDC Network posts - they will guide you.
