 ENGLISH
All courses at SDC are in English. Those students who require additional English language training are advised to complete their language traning before arriving in Milan.
Degree students
Degree students are required to write a dissertation in their 3rd and final year. Each student applying for a degree course should ensure that their English ability is of a good standard. A proof reader is available for degree students who at a minimal charge will correct language, spelling and grammatical errors and also highlight any errors in the dissertation.
ITALIAN
Though Italian is not required by SDC we recommend students take a short, basic course in Italian to assist them with daily life. Being able to make light conversation with the locals simply improves your Italy experience.
Degree students
Degree students are required to complete an internship in their 3rd and final year. Students are able to choose to complete their internship in Italy or an alternative EU country. If Italy is chosen the student may be required to have a basic command of Italian language.
LANGUAGE LESSONS
There are many language schools in Milan that offer a variety of language courses from beginner to advanced. The local Comune (municipality) also offers language courses for foreigners at very low prices (€70 - €90 for 12 weeks).
SDC will assist you in finding the best language course for your budget and ability.
